    YATS workshops aren’t just about learning to sing, dance and act. They help young people become more confident in themselves, become team players, and discover the satisfaction of overcoming challenges and trying new things. (Taking part in our workshops also gives them a better chance of being cast in next year’s fall show, of course!) BUT you’ll have to hurry – Workshops 1 and 2 are already FULL, there are only three places left in Workshop 3, and the remaining eleven spots in Workshop 4 are sure to disappear before you can say Goodnight My Someone. Remember, if you sign up for YATS Family membership – all workshops are discounted for all of your kids!

    Merci à tous ceux qui se sont joints à nous ce week-end pour notre production d’anciens élèves, A Little Night Music. Ce fut notre spectacle d’été le plus réussi à ce jour, avec des recettes de billetterie presque deux fois supérieures à celles de l’année dernière. Vous étiez plus de 400 à remplir le magnifique Münsterhof, malgré la chaleur estivale écrasante, tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Si vous aviez chaud dans la salle, ayez une pensée pour nos artistes qui ont passé des heures à chanter et danser en costumes trois-pièces, uniformes militaires et robes de bal longues ! Nous n’aurions pas pu rêver d’un accueil plus chaleureux (au sens figuré, bien sûr), et nos interprètes ont adoré chaque instant de ce retour sur scène….

    Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend for our alumni production of A Little Night Music. It was our most successful Summer show yet, with box office takings almost double those of last year. More than 400 of you packed the beautiful Münsterhof despite the scorching Summer heat both inside and outside. If you thought you were warm in the stalls, spare a thought for our cast who spent hours singing and dancing in three-piece suits, military uniforms, and full-length ballgowns! We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome though (figuratively speaking) and our performers loved every minute of being back on stage.   • A Little Night Music is Sold Out

    All three performances of our Summer Alumni production of A Little Night Music are now sold out! If you failed to secure a ticket, don’t despair! The Saturday night show will be recorded for you to watch at your leisure at a later date. Now it’s time to “Break a Leg,” as they say in the theater business, or for “Merde” as they might say in France. Enjoy the show!

  • We need your help solving a little YATS mystery

    Some years ago, a YouTube channel called @youngactorstheaterstrasbou1994 was created and used to upload YATS videos. It contains recordings from 2021, including our lockdown Zoom choir performances and a behind-the-scenes video from the very first (outdoor) rehearsal of Oklahoma, our first public production after Covid restrictions. The problem is that nobody on the current YATS team knows who created the channel or has access to it anymore. As a result, we’ve had to start again with a new YouTube channel: @yatstrasbourg. BUT – two YATS channels are not better than one! We’d still love to regain access to the original channel if we can. We have a vague memory that it may have been set up by the father of one of the performers in…

    It might be summer, but YATS certainly hasn’t disappeared! If you’ve been following us on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, you’ll know we’ve been busier than ever. Right now, rehearsals are in full swing for A Little Night Music at the Munsterhof next weekend. It’s a demanding show, so the cast have been putting in the hours to do it justice. The cast is packed with familiar faces from past YATS shows. Every performer is a YATS alum—meaning they may not be quite as Young as they once were, indeed some even have university degrees now!
