We are excited to launch our legendary poster design competition once more, from right here in River City (aka Strasbourg), for this year’s Fall production of The Music Man. We want you to create an original poster design that captures the spirit of the show to lead all our promotional materials. Any style or technique is welcome, as long as it is entirely your own original work. The competition is open to absolutely anyone, anywhere, of any age, nationality, or species. You don’t need to be a YATS member, a professional designer, nor a traveling musical instrument salesman to qualify. Audition Dates: May 23–24, 2026 | Available Slots: 108 audition time-slots across the two days. Each year, we typically welcome around 90 talented young actors auditioning for a limited number of roles—so competition is real. If you want to be part of this production, preparation is key. If you have been lucky enough to get tickets to see this amazing show, in the heart of Strasbourg, then you will perhaps have recognized a couple of YATS faces on stage? Yes, our very own Ross MacRea, who played the title role in Shrek and Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof has found time in his busy study schedule at the University of Strasbourg to perform in 7 shows a week since Feb 28. Broadway Theater International (BTI) has opened registration for its 2026 summer camps. As with last year, there will be two back-to-back weeks in the Vosges. Campers are invited to sign up for either one week or both, as there will be different programs each week (July 5-11 and/or July 12-18). The camps are a great opportunity to spend a week doing theater, music and dance and to increase your skills and confidence. Each session culminates in a public performance in a real theater. Along with the artistic team from YATS, instructors from the UK and Paris will join the team to provide a rich and varied experience for all campers. Announcing our Alumni show 2026! YATS is excited to invite alumni to take part in an intensive musical theater project this Summer (like Assassins, Into the Woods, and Spring Awakening). This project is open to YATS alumni who will have graduated high school by July 2026 and who have been involved in a previous YATS show within the past 7 years.  Dates are 19 July- 2 August 2026 (performances included). Rehearsals will take place every day in the afternoons and evenings in Strasbourg. Because of the short rehearsal period, participants must arrive at the first rehearsal fully memorized.  We will select the show based on who is available.
