What audiences are saying about YATS

Verified SpectatorGreat performance! Great music! Great evening! 👍
Verified SpectatorIt was an amazing event and performance by everyone. Considering this is a cast of students from as young as 10 or 11 years old with a rehearsal of not even 8 weeks, this is an absolutely phenomenal result and pretty much at a professional level. You could have easily thought to be in a West End Show. And this all due to the outstanding commitment of many many volunteers led by a great professional artistic team (Victor, Juliana, Alicia) who expect high standards and with that bring out the best in every person on stage. And you can tell that YATS is more than a very talented theatre group. It's a family ! And being part of it is magical and a time you will never forget 🙂

Verified SpectatorFabulous
Verified SpectatorFantastic show. A high quality performance. My parents come from the Loire Valley every year for the show (almost 800km)!
Verified SpectatorYou really want to know how you did? Simply fantastic! Just like every performance. Unfortunately, we only found out about your theater relatively late—with the *Annie* production—but we have been loyal spectators ever since and attend almost every show. Every performance captivates us, and we are once again amazed by your young talent.
I am sorry, but I have no criticisms or suggestions for improvement. The productions are well-conceived from start to finish.
All your actors are stars, but we were absolutely blown away by your quartet.

Verified SpectatorVerified Spectator
Verified SpectatorVerified Spectator
Verified SpectatorIt's easy to get caught up in this show and forget these are child amateur actors on stage. Hugely professional from start to finish and you can tell the actors are enjoying every minute of their time on stage. Not one weak voice or doubtful footwork to be seen. Fabulous attention to detail. The set, lighting and those amazing costumes are breathtaking. Worthy of broadway. Well done to Yats once more.
Verified Spectator
Verified Spectator
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorCongrats, we had a wonderful evening! The actors were brilliant, the costumes were perfect, the lights, everything. A lot of work behind all that, thank you thank you for this beautiful show

Verified Spectator
Verified SpectatorThe actors did amazing, as always ! The costumes were very elegant. Staging, music, dance beautifully thought out.
Verified SpectatorA Wonderful Evening with "A Little Night Music"
A highly enjoyable production of A Little Night Music. The staging was excellent, and the performances by the entire cast were outstanding. The singing was particularly impressive, especially in "Send in the Clowns" and "The Miller's Son".
Scene changes were handled swiftly and seamlessly by the performers themselves, which kept the show moving at a great pace. Despite the hot summer night, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The event was also very thoughtfully organized, with drinks and snacks available for the audience.
A memorable and well-executed production.
Verified SpectatorExceptional performance and production - a real treat!
Verified Spectator
Verified Spectator
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorI was delighted by thé beautiful voices, males and females and all thé rest. But due to a previous engagement i was obliged to leave at 7 pm. Not only i was deprived of a drink but i missed the second part of this wonderfull cultural moment. Maybe you could help me...if there is a link to see thé 2nd half of thé show! In ant wat congratulations to everybody...

Verified SpectatorGreat! Kids are so talented!!!
Verified SpectatorDefinitely, one of the best performances I have ever attended. Just an outstanding production. Congratulations to the actors and the production team!
Verified SpectatorThis was my fourth YATS show, loved it as usual. Great costumes, very good cast, musically excellent.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorPerfect show! Impressive singing and acting! We enjoyed it A LOT!
Verified SpectatorC'était Incroyable !
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorAnother scintillating performance from YATS in a truly charming venue.
Verified SpectatorUnless I've missed it, I think it would be nice if you could post the programs for your shows. There were none left when I arrived yesterday evening for the August 2 show. Thank you.
Verified Spectator
Verified SpectatorThe show and actors and costumes were great, my only issue is that sometimes the blackouts were weirdly placed in relation to the dialogue but so it goes.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorTruly one of the highest quality YATS shows I’ve ever seen, the acting was all around incredible
Verified Spectator
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorVerified SpectatorAn incredibly tender and intelligent production, wherein every character shared their story with warmth and understanding. And the singing - worthy of any Broadway production !
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorVerified Spectatorit was lovely, good acting and singing from everyone
Verified SpectatorSuch enthusiasm from the performers! Loved it 😍
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorGreat show! Bravo!
Verified SpectatorIt was great !
Verified SpectatorThank you, YATS, for another wonderful theatrical experience. I loved the choice of the piece, bringing so much food for thought. It was nice to see our young actors taking on a brand new challenge, see them in a completely different light. More mature, working in a very minimalist setting with almost no props. Well done to the whole cast and crew.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorThe show was spectacular. A wonderful performance by the actors and actresses: their acting was full of emotion. Thank you very much.
Verified SpectatorVery good show, well done to you all 🙂
Verified SpectatorWe really enjoyed the show! New faces in the cast! The location (stage), however, needs some YATSification (difficult to see the scene). Looking forward to October!

Verified SpectatorStupendous show.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorA brilliant show as usual. The whole family enjoys the YATS productions!
Verified SpectatorWow! What a wonderful show! I really enjoyed it, it was as good as the show I saw in the West End in London. Congratulations to all the actors, as well as the directors, costume, make-up, backstage and support. Looking forward to the next show!
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorGreat Show! Your cast is impressive as always and you take your patrons to new heights every year.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorAs professional as Youth Theatre gets
Verified SpectatorThe performance, the actors, the costumes were stunning as usual but the scénario was debatable.😉
Still, can't wait till the next show.😊
Verified SpectatorSuch an energetic and dynamic performance by a talented young cast. The music, staging, and acting were top-notch. Bravo to everyone involved for putting on a wonderful show!
Verified SpectatorAmazingly professional for a troop of amateurs. What an organization!
Verified SpectatorThe performances were collectively and individually strong (especially considering the technicity required for some scenes, notably the opening ) and the main female part had a lovely clarity of voice. However the story and the tunes failed to move me in a meaningful way (contrary to last year’s performance of Oliver). Still, we had a very enjoyable time.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorAll the comedians, costumes, music and decorations were fantastic, however the play itself was not really adapted to the younger audience. My kids loved Oliver, but they were less into the story of the MusicMan...
Verified SpectatorGreat singing and dancing, weak storyline. Wonderful atmosphere both on stage and in the foyer.
Was dismayed by the flying if the American flag at the end on the same day the current president did a deal with Russia that puts yet another nail in Europe’s coffin
Verified SpectatorSuper show !
Verified SpectatorGreat job! Some of the microphones weren't working properly, which was a shame because we couldn't hear all the voices clearly, but otherwise we really enjoyed the show - thank you, YATS!
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorAdults and 8-year old kids thoroughly enjoyed the show. The performers' energy and musicality were compelling and the quality of the costumes and stage set made it all very believable. The one area of improvement I would signal is diction and intonation: some performers weren't fluent enough and this made it sometimes difficult to understand them; also, though work on London accents was perceptible with a few members of the cast, more work could have been done in this direction to give the show an even more Dickensian flavour. Well done in any case!
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorThe sound clarity was not there, so it was difficult to understand the actors.
Verified SpectatorVerified SpectatorI was at the Friday performance. I had never seen the musical before, and read a little about it beforehand.
I was seated near the end of that very warm room. Did not understand most of the lyrics, even though the actors were wearing microphones and I am definitely not deaf ! !
Would it be too complicated/expensive to have the system of all venues showing musical works : surtitles ?
Some of the voices were very good, some others not so, but the acting and the costumes were very good, but not being able to understand the lyrics was the worst, so I left at the intermission.
Verified SpectatorI appreciate all the hard work gone into this performance and reluctantly give you honest feedback, but there really needed to have been more work put into the accents. It is a really difficult thing to get right but it became difficult for me to appreciate the musical when so many of the accents were way off, and this wasn't just from the non-native-speaking performers.
Could a voice coach have been hired perhaps? It feels unfair to be this demanding but the musical also demands this, in a way that others don't (e.g. Shrek).
I add that the choreography and costumes were terrific, and I appreciate so much the community that YATS brings, as well as the genuine effort it takes to perform the first musical written and premiered in the UK. Thank you for all you do.
Verified SpectatorWe prefered Shreck in 2024.
