Current unpaid openings

The following jobs are volunteer positions. Interested candidates should contact YATS president Sarah Bachmann with a summary of their skills, experience, and motivation for wanting to join the team.

Logistics Manager

• Develop a logistics plan for each YATS production or presentation including trucks, vans, number of volunteers needed to accomplish tasks.
• Coordinate with the director, designers, scenery team, props and costume coordinators to establish the needs of each production.
• Rent trucks, vans, and other types of vehicles needed for load-ins and load-outs at rehearsal spaces and theaters.
• Communicate the volunteer needs and requirements to the Volunteer Coordinator.

Sound Manager

• Coordinate sound needs for workshop productions as well as alumni productions.
• Operate sound board for workshop productions.
• Oversee Technical Theater Workshop students assigned to the productions.

Lighting Manager

• Coordinate lighting for workshop and alumni productions.
• Operate the light board for workshop productions.
• Oversee Technical Theater Workshop students assigned to the production.

Help behind the scenes

You have an important role to play at Young Actors Theater Strasbourg. While the young actors are participating in theater workshops and rehearsing the next musical production, it is the volunteers who make the magic happen behind the scenes. Whoever you are – parent, student, retiree or simply someone who loves theater – you can be part of the show.

You don’t need experience – just the desire to help – we will find a role for you! Volunteers build sets, prepare costumes, find props, provide transport, and work backstage in a variety of pivotal roles. Each performance is brought to life by a team of dedicated helpers.

During a performance week we need home-made food, people to serve drinks, sell merchandise, and check tickets. There is a job for everyone. If you would like to get involved – please get in touch.
