Shows: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Cabaret, Grease, Spring Awakening What are you doing now?I am currently studying medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg. I will begin my fifth year in September, splitting my time between hospital rotations and school! Are you still involved in the performing arts? After completing my first post-graduation year in Norway, I spent time in the small town of Hønefoss, where I participated in a musical program. That year, I had the opportunity to work on the Norwegian production of Legally Blonde, while also improving my Norwegian language skills. Since then, medical school has taken up the majority of my time, leaving me with little opportunity to engage in the arts—sadly! This is why getting involved…

The cast of Spring Awakening are taking matters into their own hands—literally! In the lead-up to YAT’s explosive summer production, the performers themselves have launched their own publicity and marketing campaign with a dedicated Instagram channel: @springawakeningstras. From impromptu street performances and behind-the-scenes rehearsals to striking photo shoots, the cast are documenting their creative journey with energy and flair. It’s raw, real, and totally unfiltered—just like the show itself. Catch the buzz now, and don’t miss Spring Awakening at Cube Noir, 1–3 August.

It’s official—Spring Awakening rehearsals are in full swing. With the full cast now assembled, we’re diving headfirst into final preparations for our alumni show, opening August 1 at the Cube Noir. With just two weeks to go, there’s no time to waste. But YATS hasn’t exactly been resting until now. In fact, four members of the cast—Maël, Adèle, Carla and Pierre—have just returned from a week in the Vosges, where they were working at the Broadway Theatre (BTI) Summer Camp. There, they helped introduce a whole new generation of young performers to the joys of musical theatre. Even while inspiring the next wave of talent, these four were rehearsing Spring Awakening every evening—proof of their dedication and of just how much this show means to…

The Cube Noir is saved – and so is our show! We were hugely relieved when it was announced that the Cube Noir would be saved. The news, shared by Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace in early March, came as a wave of reassurance to many in Strasbourg’s theatre community—including us. We’ve performed at the Cube Noir before, and we had been hoping to return for our upcoming alumni production of Spring Awakening. But with the venue’s future uncertain for several months, we found ourselves scrambling for alternatives. Every potential space fell short, and we were beginning to face the very real possibility of having to delay or rethink the show entirely. That’s why the announcement meant so much. Not only is the Cube Noir staying open,…

A massive thank you to everyone who’s already donated to our crowdfund for new microphones — your support is incredible, and we’re nearly there! Hopefully, you’ve had a blast watching Shrek the Musical — we loved bringing it to life for you. But here’s the exciting bit: if we hit our funding target (or go beyond it!), we’ll be releasing the full recording of this year’s spring musical, Bye Bye Birdie. So if you haven’t chipped in yet, now’s the perfect time. Let’s make it happen together — better sound, more musicals, and even more YATS magic to share! — The YATS Team
