William Dent: Where are they Now?

Shows: Bob’s Gala, Grease, Oklahoma!

What are you doing now?
“I’m currently living in Paris, where I’ve just started my Master’s degree in Chemistry at the Sorbonne. It’s still very new, and I know it’s going to be challenging, but I’m excited for what’s ahead. I wanted to stay in Paris after graduating, and this felt like the right step forward — it’s a great program, and I’m ready to dive into it.”

Are you still involved in the performing arts?
“The arts are still a big part of my life. I sing a lot in my own time, often just working through songs I love and challenging myself to keep improving. I play guitar — especially blues, with B.B. King as my biggest inspiration — and I still enjoy sitting down at the piano when I can. Music is a constant for me, whether I’m listening, playing, singing or dancing along.”

What does YATS mean to you?
“YATS was such a foundational part of my development, and now that I’m older, I really see the impact it had. What stands out to me most is the intensity, the fun, and especially the sense of community. It was amazing to see that many people working so hard toward a single goal, giving their all. I also want to credit the directors and creative team — their passion and dedication inspired us to give 110% as well. They were true role models, and their example made me want to rise to the occasion, not just for myself, but for the entire cast and crew. That lesson in hard work and collaboration has stayed with me ever since.  Thank you YATS!”
